really scott... you are the expert!
this was one of those fall into bed days at the camp...activities galore...landscaping...studio work being done...photographs being taken...& much lounging in the sunshine was done by nutmeg and griffin...
what does a barn in rural new jersey have to do with pink and the west village? can you imagine repurposing this wood into the lobby of an apartment building where the triplex is going for upwards of 30 million.... well first of all let me tell you that i had the absolute honor of touring the ongoing and much debated
julian schnable project..and words cannot describe how incredible the attention to detail..the organic use of space..the maximization and effusion of light..the re-purposing of found objects from french candy store counters greeting you in the lobby to 200 year old indian gates and architectural detail adorning the balconies.. so magnificent and risk taking in the same vein as his depthful and vibrant painting and his engaging and emotionally inspiring films.. i am truly in awe.....
today is about texture, texture, texture! i was in an amazing space today with exposed brick as far as the eye can see, skylights 12ft across, walls of windows, kitsch and play throughout!! so super sexy i fell in love.....
the puppies and i happened upon this while exploring shelter island yesterday... serendipity anyone?
happy october 1st! does everyone love autumn as much as i do? warm cups of coffee&cocoa, changing leaves and crisp air...barn sales...walks on the canal with the puppies... weekend jaunts...
